Current Moldova Orphanage Projects

The Need

10,000 orphans are currently living in state-run orphanages in Moldova, a small country between Ukraine and Romania. Most of these children sleep on 50-year-old broken beds with springs that have “sprung,” causing them to sag to the floor. Their mattresses are cotton mats, which are less than one-inch thick and have been soiled for decades.

Sweet Sleep’s Work in Moldova

Sweet Sleep has provided thousands of beds for orphans in Moldova. Our Sweet Sleep beds in Moldova consist of solid, wooden frames; thick, foam mattresses and pillows; vinyl mattress and pillow covers; crisp, new sheets and cozy comforters. A complete Sweet Sleep Bed, including a Romanian or Russian Bible, is $200.
