Refugee Rescue

Uganda is in the midst of the world’s fastest growing refugee crisis. An estimated 1.3 million refugees have entered Uganda over the past 12 months. That’s the equivalent of the entire population of San Diego. Think about that number for a second…

Most are fleeing famine in South Sudan, amassed in refugee camps near the Ugandan border, living in horrible conditions and suffering from malnutrition. It’s a humanitarian crisis we can’t ignore.

Today we are arriving in Uganda on a mission to rescue 50 girls from one of these refugee camps. Tomorrow we are moving them to our partner’s school in Uganda’s capital city of Kampala. There they will have safety, food, shelter and compassionate people who will care for them. But one thing they don’t have yet are beds.  That’s where Sweet Sleep comes in.

We have committed to providing the beds for these children when they arrive at the school tomorrow. We have raised enough money to provide about half of the 50 beds needed for these kids. Your help is needed today!

A bed costs $140 and will provide the comfort and sanitary conditions these children haven’t experienced in far too long, if ever. Please consider giving whatever you can today. And pray. Pray for our safety and the success of this mission. Pray for these children we are rescuing. Pray for all the people fleeing unthinkable conditions in their home countries and pouring into Uganda. And pray for God to lead you in whatever way you can help.

Time is running out.
