My first 24hrs in Falesti

Hello everyone! This is quite an amazing place. We have only been here for 24hrs. and I am really to pack up and move here 🙂 We went to go visit the orphanage today to meet the children we will be working with this week. When we got out of the van and the children ran and jumped in our arms holding us very tightly. There were so starved for affection. I am teaching 7th-9th grade girls and I want to adopt all 10 of them. I hope and pray that God is able to work through us this week to reach these children for him. For more details read my sisters’s blog. (Click on Jane Thompson, she types faster) 🙂 The Romanian boys are crowding me and trying to take my picture I must make a mad dash to the van. (by the way we are riding in style in a mercedes-benz and I am driving:) bine!

Well, finally I get to post a comment. Blessings to Jason who figured it out. I had to register as something, but as long as this works, I’m all for it. I’ll try to do this every day to keep up. I’ve just emailed everybody. Aunt Nancy sent a LONG email, which I sent to Jane in about 6 emails, trying all the time to do a comment instead. Just news about her and John’s new job. That took about 1/2 hour, and you probably won’t get it til you get home, so I’ll forward it all to you. Sunday we went to BBC. The scripture was: “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” I consider this a very appropriate, God-sent message that His children and my physical children are doing His will, obeying the great commisstion’ “Go ye and teach all nations.” I enjoyed reading the blog (yours and Jane’s). I looked at the temperature in Moldova, and it is cooler than here. The dogs are inside; it’s supposed to get up to 97 or so today. I am so proud of you. Love, Mom

We won tickets to Dr. Gluck’s birthday party July 27th, 6 PM. I called Justin and invited you. I am still working on posting messages so I can tell Justin how to. When I press “login and publish”‘ it just comes back to the leave a comment page, so we’ll see once I get back on the blog page. Love, Mom

Tuesday – Everything is fine here. It is 97 degrees and is 6 PM. Dogs stay in all the time. Sarah has been going to cheerleading camp. Tomorrow is the last day. I think she’s tired. They go to Caty’s swim club every day after cheerleading. KaDy has found some kind of shell and is throwing it around the floor (like she does the ice in the kitchen). We got the back screen fixed yesterday. Justin has a relative stranded in Lebanon and called to see if I knew any more details than he, but I don’t.
He and the dogs send their love. Ms. Stafford has 3 more days left of summer school and she is happy about that. Know that we all are praying for you. We know you are there for God’s purpose and He will keep watch over you. Love, Mom
